Pilates has been proven to improve all manner of back conditions over the years as the technique teaches you to build up weaker muscles while protecting the spine and relieving strain on injured areas. Once you understand why you have been suffering back pain, and that postural misalignments have been contributing to your problem, you will be more in tune with your own body and be able to alleviate and prevent any future niggles yourself.

I have been attending Angela’s classes for 18 months, after having back surgery for a slipped disc. After my surgery I was still in a lot of pain, but since attending Pilates, my pain has virtually gone and I am doing things I’d never dreamed I’d be able to do again. Simple stuff, like being able to have days out with my children and not be in pain, being able to do longer walks and help on school trips. Simple things, but these mean so much when you’ve been in pain. I can’t thank her enough for giving that back to me
